Pure fluorocarbon Mirage™ has the highest abrasion resistance of any leader or tippet. And its refractive index is so close to that of water that Mirage is virtually invisible. Fluorocarbon materials also retain their knot and tensile strength in water. Improved tapers on Mirage Big Game Leaders give you better turnover when casting large flies.
We recommend the 16lb & 20lb for Northeast saltwater fishing (Striped Bass, Bonito, False Albacore). The 10lb & 12lb work best in the tropical applications (Bonefish & Permit).
